Hi, My 84 Tecate has a modified rear brake caliper bracket on it. It does not fit my stock caliber which has a hole spacing of 1-13/16" spacing. The bracket has a spacing of 2-5/8" spacing. Anyone know what brake calibers have a 2-5/8" bolt spacing?

Can we get a pic? I just picked up an '84 on Friday and it has a weird caliper, too.

Mine is nothing like that one. Its just like the stock bracket but with a longer bolt pattern space.

That reminds me of like old CB front brakes.

It looks like an aftermarket bracket but yamaha rd350 front caliper and brake disc. Hard to tell for sure with that picture.

Not to thread jack, but I'd sure like to know what it is. Here's another pic:

164894164895164896Does this look vaguely familiar????? I actually may know what this caliper and mount are from, doing some thinking. I'm not sure if your disc is tecate or not or that type of disc was used on several makes or models like the rd350 also. But I'm thinking that the caliper and mount may be Hearst/Airheart like some of the rod actuated atc90/110 early disc brake set ups. Airheart or Airhart, not sure of spelling, is still around and you can still get most of the parts.

Mine came on a 2nd gen Nicholson 500, the one that takes all the 200x stuff. I've since had a new rear bearing carrier made to take the proper 200x rear brake caliper and parts. I just need to get it all in place.
