on a side note, there are 87 250r's around. Ask for a picture of the stamp on the kneck, that plate will have the year of the machine on it. Doubt its a 250r, probably a 250sx or something else if the guy even mentioned it NOT smoking. 250r=supposed to somke 250sx=not supposed to smoke

Honda did make a 87 250r its the fourtrax. Alot of people call the other 250 hondas a r.Like the 250 big red and 250sx.

I agree,,,,Because Obviously,,,,ALL of the pictures of 87 Honda 350X's and 250 R's were PHOTOSHOPPED !!! They were NEVER built !! The ones the Honda boys RODE,,the ones Dean Kirsten and the press RODE,,,,,NEVER EXISTED !!!! All of the 87 parts that have surfaced over the years,,were handbuilt ! 87's just don't exist :) :) :)

But,,,they sent us back the duty tax ,,twice. I,,,,would have not thought about it back then. Dad called them and told them. They said there was NO mistake and to keep it. No problem! It had a Speedo,in KMH of course,and a few other "next year" things we didn't see till the next year down here. Jeezz,,I hope I don't get in trouble again for posting...

I am usually the flag bearer for the cautiously skeptic crowd, but I am changing my pesimistic stance and I do believe that one day one will pop up. There is just too much evidence out there to close the book and say that there was never at least one produced. You can even see the raised warning label on the white fenders from the Japan bike and Dean Kirsten went out of his way to mention "the one with white fenders". The guy had been there and done that back in the day, why would he just throw that out there? This guys whole existence for ten years was ATV's.

I once thought that our little internet community was all the world had to offer as far as trikes were concerned, but have come to realize we are just a microcosm in the grand scheme of things. Just remember at one point in time the world was flat.;)
