View Full Version : Old School Number Plates
Man those screen plates improve a trike's looks! I just put one on my 85 R today. All I had was a number 4 to put on it. Oh well, still looks great.
I'd like to see some pics of trikes with screen number plates.

Here's my number plate. I bought it off of Ebay about 4 years ago. If anyone finds more, please let me know too. I would buy another one.

This one was the one I had on my bike in the 1980s. It was a Maier solid plate.

Slippy I might be interested in one of the plates. Got any pics, and what are you looking to get for one?
SPORTVETTE.... I cant sell my DG. I would like to offer the same deal as you for another DG for my 86 bigbore T3. Let me know if you get any leads. The only spare parts I would sell are a spare frame, complete front end, swingarm, carrior, axle, and maybe some motor parts, but I want to keep 2 complete T3's and spare parts to keep them up and running. I am not sure of a price and I don't want to ship.
I just remembered I have 4 # plates, 2 screens, 1 solid plate I got off ebay , and a chrome plate from HAGEN.

lets not go numberplate crazy like most other things around here, fellas. To do it properly, you need to ditch your lights, and for a real proper MX look, get rid of the wiring and factory stop/run/light switch.

man, I wish I hadnt farted around so long when skippy had the one I wanted, I regret not snatching it up. oh well ya snooze ya lose
Chainsaw, is that your Z? I have the same plate on mine. If it's yours, did you notice the tab on top right side of plate for your over-heat light?
Here's my Z and My 86 KXT from a few years ago with its plate.
Under Holic's strict standards, I guess my Z is the only trike of mine that qualifies to wear a plate! :-D

Its mine, but I havent seen it in person yet.. lol Im leaving New Years day to drive up and get it. 36 hour trip.. Im not looking forward to it, but damn its a sweet looking trike!
Is that the one with the YZ 250 Mill? Very Cool Trike. Long drive but well worth it in the long run.
I need to get the racing kill switch back on mine. But I need a new lanyard for it and haven't yet located one in yellow. :(
