I used the search feature and found some but I'd like to get it all in one post for future reference.

What calipers and systems are a direct bolt on for other makes??

This is all I know....

85 to 89 ATC or TRX rear calipers interchange as long as the mounts are changed.

85 to 89 ATC or TRX front master cylinders also interchange along with the 400EX master cylinder (I think!!)

How about 200X versus older 250R??

Or 85 and up ATC250R versus 350X - Haven't found anything about the 350X??

It looks to me that a later year ATC250R front caliper with dual piston will swap out the earlier 200X models - It would be great if some of you have either done a similar conversion or know what fits what.

Hey guys - help me out with this brake swap please - I hear nothing about the 350X calipers as far as swapping - whats up??

We really ought to get this all down and sticky it in an INTERCHANGABILITY POST.

Two other swaps posts we need of the top of my head...

Fork swaps 200X 250R 350X 250SX etc - years changed diameters and some of us could really benefit by this.

Front rim and hubs - 350X 250R 200X - different years again fit different trikes. Again - could be very helpful - some 350X and 200X won't fit a 250R bolt pattern but others do??

Help us all out please!! Or advise on sorting this out and making it easy for everyone could help too. THANKS!!

all the calipers on different types of bikes with the same pads as your 350x will fit. you just need to reuse the 350x mounting bracket. my one friend put a 250x caliper on his banshee. it bolted rite up to the banshee bracket. we did the same thing to a warrior we used a mojave caliper. as for the front master cylinders any type 3 or 4 wheeler or steet or dirt bike will work as long as the brake hose bolts up rite. hope this helps you out :-D

Front Masters are alllll the same. I run a Honda CBR900 f4i Street-Bike Front Master on my 87 200x.

Thanks guys.

I'm not sure why no one is really into these subjects??

How many of us still today buy a 200X front hub or a 350X caliper and end up saying "SH!T they changed that year!!"

I just wish once and for all we could really get it straight

Forks
Frontends
Brakes
Wheel sizes

Of course the list can go on and on but these seem like popular questions and I just wanted to see how the "brakes swapping" went but it's not going so well :?

off the top of my head heres my $.02:

83-85 200x front brakes (whole system) is the same as 83-84 250r
86-87 200x front brakes will bolt up to the 83-84 250r, but master cylinders are different.

83-85 200x rear brakes are the same as 83-84 250r rears except for the brake line, and the mounting bracket for the caliper(needs to be swapped)
I think the e-brake mechanism is the 86-87 200x type on the 83-84 250r.

83-85 200x rear master cylinder will fit the 85-86 350x.
86-87 200x rear caliper and resevoir will fit the 86 350x, 85 350x caliper will need to swap the mounting bracket.
85-86 250r front brake system will fit the 85-86 350x, master cylinders are similar to the 86-87 200x.
85-86 250r rear brakes are unique to the 250r, TRX rear calipers and lines will work, master cylinders are different.

I think that pretty much covers the 200x-250r-350x brake parts interchangability.

Ya...just about every handlebar mounted resivor is interchangeable. You could put the Tecate's on the ATC's if ya wanted to.

I am looking at my 200x and KFX 400 and the rear calipers look like they will swap, they seem to have the same bolt spacing and they take the same pads.

Now the 83/84 rear caliper looks to be almost a mirror image of the 200x caliper.
Is there a newer quad that uses the nisin caliper that is handed the other way?

Sombody else take a look and see what you think.

86-89 250r rear brakes fit on a 86 350x if you use the trx/atc disc, hub, bracket, caliper and you need to machine 3.5mm off the disc hub.

I believe 200x rear calipers are interchangeable with raptor rear calipers, which are the same as banshee, warrior, and kfx400, z400, dvx400, etc.
You just need the 200x bracket, there is someone on here with a raptor caliper, I believe

A rear master cylinder off a 85/85 250R will work on a 83-85 200x with little mods. Since the 250r master is threaded and sits on the inside of the frame you will have to drill out the threads and it mounts right up the 200x mounts. Next run a die (of the same pitch) up the shaft of the master and then measure against the 200x shaft and cut to length. Good to go. I have this done on the miss's 200x.
