I just got a Carlise Trail Hawk 24-8-11 tire for my 350x. I've heard they are really great tires for trikes. Even better than the Kenda Front Max. Ive seen the Trail Hawks in alot of old trike racing pictures.

Z's have a 12" front rim. not allot of choice.

I'd get the 23" 86 Stock Dunlop. KT732 if i remember right. It's still available at Tiresunlimited.com

Kenda Front Max is an excellent choice.

I think the kenda is for an 11 inch rim. I prefer the 23 inch 86 tri-z tire, check with dunlop.

the Titan 489 comes in 12" and they carry them at walmart. they have them in stock at my local wally world.

Really? Titans at wally world? Now that amazes me. They are probably like 26 inch tires though arent they? I would think the tread pattern would be too aggresive, and you would have a lot of front end shake at high speeds.

Jeb I agree, go with the 86 Z's 23 incher. Yes they are still offered on tiresunlimited.com for around $50. Going to the 23 inch on an 85 makes a nice improvement in handling. Personally I don’t like the look of those muddin tires on the front of high performance trikes. I’m sure they’re very heavy too,

i've never used the 489 on a trike, but they offer them in 23" also, at walmart. that being said, my x has a frontmax. that being said, my wally world carries carlisle, ITP, and titan. they can order almost anything you want, even paddles. and they are usually the cheapest by far. only found one exception.

Yea, what is WRONG with you people??!!!

I dont dig mudders on the back, either. Leave em on your 4x4 P.O.S. golf carts.

I have a Carlisle Trail Wolf on the front of my Z. Haven't got a chance to ride it with them, but it looks good.

I have the Kenda 489's on my 86R and it corners like a dream with no vibration at high speeds. Its the best handling front tire I've ever owned.
