there was a guy in the uk that made a lovely tri-z build but he said nobody would buy it, so he decided to part it instead. its a shame because it looked great.
i paid £173 ($268) on ebay for it. its for a warrior but i think ive found a way to make the resi fit

It'll be worth the effort tho! Mine a sat stripped in the shed for the last 3 years or so, as something else always seemed to come 1st, now I've given up DH mtb racing and sold em up its time she had a bit of love so hopefully come end of the summer she'll be running (hopefully ha ha)

got myself some braided brake lines as wellI was hoping you were going to give some attention to your braking systems after that crash. Did you get in some additional seat time, and learn the intricacies of 3-wheelers before doing the rebuild? She's coming along beautifully, and we'd all hate to see another wreck like that after she's finished. Good luck on the rebuild.

i havent been on it since the crash and that was the only time ive ever been on a 3-wheeler! the brakes are getting a full overhaul- new lines, seals, dust seals & rebuilt master cylinders. when i crashed it i had no back brake and the front wasnt very good either. i dont think i would of crashed if the back worked!

Very nice looking! Did you reuse those radiators? Just repaint the body of it? They look sweet Two-tone like that? Been intrested in getting some Alum aftermarket Rads but havnt had a chance to look for them yet. May just have to paint mine if they can come our that sweet! great build man can't wait to see the next installment.
ktmcrasher
02-19-2013, 01:08 PM
yeah i just painted the rads as they were really beat up. the fins were in terrible condition so i straightened them out the best i could. id prefer some aftermarket rads but i cant find anyone selling them. i was talking to one of the suppliers of the ones from china as i got a set for my ktm & they were great. they said if i sent them a drawing they would see if they could make them but im spent up at the mo!

They were re-produced for me, took them a week to sort them, they will need a bit of trimming to fit

V force reeds have been around for the 2 series for quite some time as the Wr250 application would fit the Z. Later on in 2007 it was discovered a late model Kx125 shared the same bolt pattern intake and V force offered a 3 series for that application.
Call V force now known as Moto Tasanari and tell them you need a part number as follows....
V303a with 682m pedals.
just putting it here so i can find it cheers mosh

05-04-2013, 10:11 AM
no! the garage is full at the moment. the plan is to finish this one in the house & then take apart the big red ive got in the garage. then i will take the axle off the z and i should be able to get it into the garage
ktmcrasher
05-27-2013, 03:05 PM
well ive got her out of the house (the trike) i had to take the axle out and picked up the back and wheeled it out no problem, dont think it will be that easy with the big red.
got my pro taper bars fitted & im chuffed with the bend and rise. shes full of coolant and oil but i ran into problems with my twist throttle conversion, the inner is around 2-3 inches too long so im waiting on a nipple kit to shorten it. ive got a front master cylinder on its way and some nice levers. I'm struggling with getting a nice rear fender so i might have to get a maier kit sent over if i can afford the shipping. i still need a chain but other than that its done.

not much happening at the moment. had to drain the oil as i decided it would be a good idea to kick it round a few times and then drain it incase there was much crap in it after the rebuild. went to fill it today and try and start it for the first time and im out of light gear oil so its on hold for another week.
my throttle cable repair kit turned up so its been shortened and its a perfect fit.
got my front plate fitted, big thanks to Jeswinehart for that.
front fender now fitted after i removed the paint that was on it. i wanted to take it down to 3000 grit but got bored of the sanding at 600! rear fender is still painted but i might just clean it and fit it.
