where to buy main jets for 87 250SX?

Noticed i am running lean and I need to bump up my main jet a little. So i pull the carb (PITA! ) go to change the main and see that they are the screw type ones...another PITA.. I only have the normal ones.
Where the heck do i buy them and what is that style jet technically called?

You mean the slot head main jets? EBC makes a wide variety for both Keihin and Mikuni replacement jets. The company is best known for their brake pads, but they make other stuff also. I have personally used the jets before, and have had good luck with them. My local motorcycle shop has them on hand in wide vartieties, and charges 2.50 a piece, which is about as cheap as you can get. check Jetsrus.com I ordered a bunch of jets for my 300es big red from there all bigger sizes and they work just fine.

Thank you guys! @ Flyingw, running just a uni air filter, but that combined with the cold aiir is enough for me to bump it up a few.
Anyone else rejet thier SX after an air filter change?

If you just want to catch some snow rides before it melts, maybe wrap the filter with some socks or lint free towel until you find jets.

Does it run better with a little bit o' choke?

It actually runs perfect , except for a few pops on decel. I pulled the plug just to check it's color and it was white hot. ( i know i didnt do a proper plug chop ). I would rather run a tiny bit rich in the snow since I am wfo most if the time. You know the old saying " they run best right before they blow )
