Hi again folks!

i was so in stress that i forgot to introduce myself.... but here it is now

i`am 27 years old and ride a 83` Atc 200X wich is good as new (uhm except the swingarm maybe.... )

I think here in germany arent as much trike riders as in usa... never saw any Tri Z or atc here in Germany yet... but now to my questions on my project..

Is it possible to upgrade my 200X with an electric starter? are there any Performance upgrades? where can i get a stronger stator (or strator hmm dunno  ) ow and yeah here in germany u gotta have rear lights, breake lights and Pulser ( uhm the light wich u use to show that u wanna go left or right.. damn my english is rusted.....) so i cant get any cool lights here is there a onlineshop for ATV lights somewhere?

Thx for trailprotrailpro help guys

Peter from Germany

Check these guys out for your electric starter. I'm not sure on the stator, I'm sure one of the other guys can lend some insight. I'm sure we'd all like to see your machine...would you mind posting a picture or two? Thanks and good luck.

The english word you're looking for is blinker.

Have you contacted Hagen/GreenBoy/Marco yet? :-D He'll show you a Tri-Z and Tecate.

Sorry but I studied German thru high school and college. Then I lived in or travel in europe/german for 9 months or so. My family is from Frankfurt and the outside of France. So I have alot of family outside the US. :D Oh and I have a cool program that helps me write in german fonts too.(so of course I had to try it out, hehehe).

I know a little German but not near that much heh.

Anyways welcome aboard Peter! This a great group of guys here and if anyone can help you it should be them. Whenever you get your 200X done you should email me some pictures of it so that I can add them to the main website (http://www.3wheelerworld.com) See you around on the forum!

Welcome Peter! Type in Ricky Stator in your search terminal, he deals with mostly stators, and electronics. www.denniskirk.com should have universal brake lights and turn signal kits. Do you listen to Rammstein? I love their music.

Hey guys thx for all the posts... as soon as i put my 200X together i will post some pics...(thx god i got a garage now and must`nt do all the work in the cold :-D )

I hope ricky stator will respond to my mail..i`m getting the feeling this man does`nt like germans.... Maan how should i have a working head- tail- brakelight, blinkers and a horn without a powerful stator....

anyway i just removed the rust of my exhaust system and painted it in a real nice black heat resistand color... if all will look as good as my muffler..then the 200X is as good as new :D

Not really sure how mechaniclly inclined you are (Or maybe to be doing the lights and such you need to be an electrician? heh) But anyways if I remember right from Hagen, the dual sport Honda/Yamaha motorcycles are pretty popular over there. It might be possible to rig something up from them like the blinkers and stuff. Off hand I can't even really think of a good place to mount them on a 200x unless it was on the ends of the handlebars, or was mounted to the back plastic behind the seat or something. Someone already mentioned Dennis Kirk, they have an Offroad catalog, and a Metric Street bike catalog also. I think the Metric Street bike catalog might benefit you more for trying to find blinkers and such. Are there motorcycle salvage yards and things like that over there? I'd try looking around for an old wrecked or junk bike and see how they work, and then try to make it work on a 200x.

depending on what kind of grab bar you have and how good you are witha welder, you could make mounts for the blinker lights off of the grab bar. just weld mounts on each and paint or have them coated. glad to see members from places other than Nroth America, welcome to the board!
