Main Jet Setting

Anybody know the stock main jet setting for an 83 big red? Or is it just supposed to be screwed in tight?

main jets are inside float bowl and should be tight,,, are you talking about thr air idle screw on the outside of the carb???? if so start with 2 turns out and adjust from there,,,,,,,,,,
