I recently bought a Atc250cc big red off a guy, its been nothing but problems. I have already had to replace the engine thats why its an 85/86 the engine is 85 the rest is 86. The new engine runs very nice, thank god. got it from EBay.

1. The right rear axel nut is seazed up, I have used PB BLaster on it and put a break bar on my big 3/4 torque wrench, then i used a cold chisel and tried to tap it loose to act as a impact kinda i guess. Didnt work. I need new brakes or wouldnt be to worried about it, i can get the tire off with the 4 smaller bolts. id like to grese it but its not bent or nothing...I dunno. Help!! Ideas??

2. The front drum brake cap plate has a 1'' hole in it. like a drain? is there suppose to be a plug of some sort? or?

3. Front fork springs are wore out it goes up and down but not smoothly.

Use aero kroil. It's way better then pb blaster.

Can i get that a the local autoparts? or home depot? If that doesnt work do you think heat would help?

I would soak it and let it creep for a day then hit with heat. Just becareful I have snapped the axles threads off in the nut before.

Heat will definitely help. After soaking it for a day or 2 with a good penetrant, blast it with heat. I ran into this issue on my 250SX when doing my swinger bearings. Soaked and soaked and soaked, then blasted it with heat, and BAM! The swinger bolt finally popped loose. Good luck.

Even if the heat is from a regular propane torch, it will work very well. If using a lower heat like propane, be sure to let it heat for a while, I have done some, and just left it blow on the nut/bolt for 5 minutes before attempting to crack it free. Heat is your best friend when fighting with rusty fastners, and a lot of the time an impact wrench will also aid in the battle, make sure you use a good one though.

Try using a pneumatic impact driver and rattle it off...

I agree big breaker bar after spraying and heat with torch or heat gun. I use a nice heat gun that will go to about 600 degrees. Just be patient and let it heat really well for 10 mins or so from different angles. I like PB. You probably just need to change the seals and fluid in the forks. It's cheap and easy to do.
