Didn't that reach a fairly small fortune last time I saw it up there??

How do these guys relist things 5 or 6 times, doesn't it get expensive.

I know the first relist is free but what about 6 or 7 times???

Am I missing something in the rules??

I love that trike. The new plastic, short track kit, mugen forks and axle are awesome!

But he should be publicly whipped for installing that stupid looking mud flap and brace on the front fender. I don't care if they are discontinued Hondaline accessories, they ruin the racer look of that R, in my opinion, of course. :-D

i really dont see what is so great about it......he has mugen forks, flat track tank kit, selvy ported cylinder, thats like the only performace "HRC race" parts he has...besides that gay ass front mud flap thing...thats just retarded, oh and the fender support........aftermarket hubs...there available in alot of places, new plastic, thats still available.....theres lots of people with this stuff.....the only really rare part that catches my attention is the selvy ported cylinder....in my eyes, its just another R with a few hondaline parts he found and threw on it....working on it for over 10 years and he doesnt even have the damn thing running,...pffftt

doesnt seem all that great.

well i emailed him and asked him what he wanted for it since i live in the same state i was interested in buying it, but if he wants over 2000.00 for it then theres no way, i paid 1600.00 for the one i just picked up about 3 weeks ago and it's better then that one is now or when and if it is finished, and over 2000.00 and it still doesn't even run  man youre smoking some crack... theres a reason you can't sell it, so good luck to you..

well just got his email back  he said:(my reserve is set really low only $2900.00, lets talk.) hahahaha LETS NOT, i'll talk to you when you have it for sale for 1500.00 or less or when it's finished for $2000.00 to $2400.00, otherwise enjoy your trike being unfinished for another 10 years....

How many of us "truly" get back even 75% of what we actually spend. My 250R will end up being a 2700$ machine when it's done (which by the way is pretty cheap as far as "R's go") and worth maybe 1800$ as a whole if I were to ever sell it.

You almost never get back what you spend and obviously thats what he's trying to do - not even a running motor !! CMON!!

Let's see if this thing is worth it. I have everything he has:

I bought the Mugen Forks for $100 and Mugen rear shock for $100 from Sudco. I don't know if they have more. Flattrack Kit was $250, but have seen them go for $500. A ported top end will cost $400. New fenders $250 and $90 from ServiceHonda. Bearing Carrier..$175ish. The front fender goodies I'm going to ignore because they would be removed and tossed into the pile of "stuff" that would never be used. Handlebars...I got a great set of Aceribs aluminum bars (are Renthal style) for $40. Break fluid guard $10....soo we're at a 250R with new stuff that costs $910. Extra used tires....??...$150? So we have a total plus of $1060 in goodies. However, if you bought a "nice 250R" it would run and have all the parts. So let's subtract what is missing. Good Chain $50, sprockets $40. Ebay: Intake $10, reed cage $40, new fiber reeds $25, pipe (Racing) $250+ for the whole thing, airbox $20. Headlight....used off of Ebay $100-150. New they cost $250. So we subtract out that value of $535. Finally it does not run, nor do we know if it will run. So apply whatever discount you think is applicable. Most non-running bikes sell for $500 so I would take off at least that much off the value.

I would put a value on it of $1500. $1000 for the parts and $500 for a non-running bike that needs work.

I hate to say it, but it's probably got more value in pieces unless the guy finishes it. Please don't shoot me for saying it. Anyway. To each his own.

Believe me I am on your side guys but.... about the shock. I can find a decent used 250R shock for about 100$. I can find rebuilt nice 250R shock for about 200$ So if there is something special about MUGEN I guess it's worth 300$ to 500$ Aftemarket shocks are not short money as supposedly they are superior. I don't think it's only worth 100$ but I don't believe it's worth more than 500$ either - That is if it is Brand new or rebuilt.

If you can get me a MUGEN rear shock for my 250R rebuilt or in perfect working condition for 100$ please contact me.

Sudco closed out all of their ATC parts a copuple years ago. I literally paid $100 for it. They were trying to clean out their old part supply. I assume he did the same thing as I did.

Wow, sure wish I didn't miss that sale! I'd like to have a spare rear shock myself but all the under 80$ EBAY ones have dry rotted bump stops or broken clicker knobs. ATATV has had some for 80$ or 100$ BUY IT NOW that were quite nice - I'm just waitng to find a cheaper one.

His ATC is not worth nearly what he wants. But some knucklehead always comes along and thinks it's a gold mine. These guys just keep relisting and listing and listing and listing ............... Must get expensive though??

this guy claims he was a factory honda rep during the mid 80's..he said this because i told him my brother bought my 85r new for $2200(i also siad i wasn't sure about the price)..he went on to say that he has sold front fork kits for these for $450( didnt say what kind, i would assume mugen)he said too that if he finished the motor the price would be a grand higher....the last thing he told me was "come see more what we do at www.m3racing.com...i'm going there next....

I did watch a few auctions for the front fork mugen kit - lowers and damping rods etc. and the ones I watched grabbed 370$ or more.

Wow. I paid $100 for those too. They're still in the box. I haven't put them on yet. I bought them a couple years ago. That's nice to know.

I made a huge "throttle mistake" off my biggest jump and the 250R stockies kept me alive just fine. I don't think the average JOE really need performance susupension - proper working and adjust stock seems great - but if I found them cheap I'd grab myself a pair because anything better than stock is just plain nice to own. You may just want to EBAY those bad dogs out - your choice!!
