250 big red rear lift ? how much can we go ?

what is the most lift we can get without compromising on the drive shaft and u-joints and boots ? i can raise the front 9 " higher than stock ( i know , thats crazy but just curious ) but dont think i can get much more than 4 " more from the rear shock and then add some huge tires to possibly get the rest ? 5 " ????

Check out my lifted big red... I wouldn't go more than 2.5". Big tires make all the difference you need

I agree with Mudbug, any more than 2-3 inches will likely prove harmful to the machine and you really should keep stability in mind before trying to do too high..

Personally I put some big 26" tires on mine and left the suspension alone..if I can't get thru where I am trying to go it probably can't be done!!!

ya, i was thinking 28" on the rear and 22" on the front but i dont think it's worth the $ to try it.....

If you're big into mudding, and I don't mean riding through deep water with some mud at the bottom... But actual mudding, I would recommend lifting it.
When you get stuck, 99% of the time it is because the engine is pushing too much mud, therfore, higher lift, you will get through a lot more. Bigger tires are good for traction, but , you'll still bottom out.

I have to ask, 22" on the front? Or was that a typo, I would lift the same as mondexbrute and have 28's front and rear. With some good paddle mudders... Bearclaws only get you so far.

no. i have a set of sx forks that will raise the front of the es 9 " higher.. so if i raise the rear shock 3 " and install a 22" front tire and 28 " rears i believe that would make the front 3" higher than original ratio front to rear... but i dont think that would be good ???
