A friend picked up an 84? 200x for free and was hoping we could build something out of it. It's missing lots. Will need gas tank, engine (lifan? It has auto 200 in it now with a busted case) front master cylinder and brake lines, headlight, fenders, swingarm bearings/bushings etc etc. I've never come across one before and I'd like to make a decent trail bike. At this point it's pretty much a decent roller lol. I'd like to start throwing some numbers together to see what we're in for. Thanks guys, pics to come

Sounds like a good project, I built mine one piece at a time from buying everything off of ebay, In 2007 I had less than 500 in it and it was able to ride it, shipping was cheaper then and parts were plentiful, that stuff has went up quite a bit since then, after adding new bearings and new plastic and other improvements I'm now in it over a grand, but I would take it riding anywhere, good thing about so much needing replaced is that after doing all the work and adding as many new parts as you have to its that much closer to new condition and will give you less trouble than one you pick up running and have no idea of the condition of it, you will know what you have when you get done, plus you will have the pride of building it yourself, I'm a firm believer in anything can be salvaged and live to ride another day, and from my experience the small stuff is what will nickel and dime you
