How much metal shavings (if any) should i expect to find in the oil slinger of my 200x? i probably scraped out a thimble full, if not more. and it seems to be steel. i checked it with my magnet.

Shouldn't be any metal. You need to find the issue before its a big issue.

Something like that happend to me on the 350x. Not sure if it the same problem but what happened was the bearing went in the connecting rod. The shaving I found were from the inside of the rod were the bearing sits on the crank side and peices of the bearing it self. Hope this isn't whats going on

You shouldn't be finding any metal shavings in that area....

Took the top end apart, the rocker arms are roached. the pads that ride against the cam were missing probably 20% of their material. I have no idea how this thing was running before i took it apart. Also the cam chain was slapping against the case so badly that it wore away 3/4 of the little divider that sticks out between the cam chain away. the crank bearing feels tight though, however there is some play in the wrist pin on the piston.
