I'm in the process of removing the chain housing on my trike. I'm sure you guys are familiar with the casing that encloses the chain and sprockets. However I am stuck. The sprocket is in between two pieces that are bolted together sandwiching the sprocket and the inner most bolts I cannot remove because I can't get a wrench on their heads as they're butted up against the inside of the inner guard. Are they bolted to the axle? Sorry for the vague info fellas. In helpful info is appreciated.

Take the guard off. I believe there are only 2 bolts to remove to do it.
Download the manual from here:

The rear sprocket is holding down the right (inner) half of the guard and a golden hub looking piece is bolted on top of the sprocket. This gold piece is what I can't remove . Where this golden hub is flanged is where it's also connected to the spines on the axle . When I get home ill try downloading that Manual although I do have the original manual and it contains no info on it.

My mistake, I thought you meant the front sprocket. Looking at the microfiche it looks like you may have to remove the axle top get at those back bolts. Does it say in the manual to remove the axle?

This sounds like the 79-82 atc 110 sprockets. You do indeed have to remove the axle but once the locknuts on the axle are loose and the rims are off it will slide right out. And you can throw some grease in the bearings while its apart :p
