Couple weekends ago I had the chain break on my 250r. Had a case saver on it, but I think that is what screwed me.

Well that sucks. That was a mint case....

So planning to do a full rebuild on the bike in the spring. I didn't want to be trikeless, so for in the mean time I picked up a 350x.

It's in pretty nice shape. Has am extended swingarm painted up like a West Coast, but it looks nothing like my 250r West Coast, so I am not sure what it is

Then today, just for the fun of it, I finally threw my Krause pipe and Richter silencer on the R

Kind of sad, cause I really with I could take her a rip to see how it goes.

The 350x westcoast swingarms don't look like the 250r arms. Post a pic of it because it might just be one. BTW I love that pipe on the R.

That is a WC, did you pic it up off the northern ohio CL somewhere? There was one for sale up there that looked just like this one and had the same west coast

Dang man how old was that chain on the 250r?

Yes bought it out of The Toledo area.

Chain was new back in the summer. Maybe 6 gallons of gas on it.

Sweet buy man that 350x was pretty nice and it has the Cal-Fab skidplate. What kind of chain was on your R? I've always had good luck with the plain non o-ring good ole roller D.I.D. 520 chains. My buddies Banshee would always break the o-ring chains so I never used them.

Yeah like bkm said what kind of chain was it? That thing much have had a defect or something to cause it to break like that.

I never run o-ring chains either. It was either a D.I.D. or a Marshals. Can't remember which

Man sounds like some bad luck for you. Howd you screw up that axel on the 350x? Both very nice machines.

350x was 100% my fault. Caught it on a tree wide open in 2nd. Brought me to a stop rotated 90 degrees around the tree.

I have since bought a HD durablue axle for it and now have both trikes good to go.

Switched the wheels between them so the r has the shorter wider setup while the x got the taller narrower setup.
