Hello,

As many of you know, I have a 1985 Honda Big Red 250ES and one of the things that I'd like to do is seal the inside of the fuel tank. The tank is in excellent condition so I need something that will prevent rust throughout the years.

There is a product named POR-15. Has anyone used this porduct? If so, which kit and how well is it holding up?

Thank you,
IronBear

If it is still clean I wouldn't coat it. Since so many threads exist about coating breakdown and the mess it creates, I'd leave it alone.

The best thing is to remove the fuel when it's going to be stored for any length of time, dry it completely and then spray the inside with the 2 stroke engine winterizer spray. You can buy it at any marine dealer..

It will ensure your tank will be perfect forever and when it comes out of storage just fill it with gas and go!
