250sx cam chain tension and valve clearance help needed

borrowing a friends 85 250sx bike runs great but ticks just need the valve clearance for both intake and exhaust and how to do the cam chain tensioner my 200x manual doesnt list this bike

The cam chain on that machine is self adjusting..if it's rattling then the chain is likely worn and needs replacement.

The valve adjustment is pretty straight forward and much like your 200x with a feeler gauge on a cold engine..set your gap to .003 in on both intake and exhaust.
