Is it possible to wire an auxilliary lighter socket onto my 1987 atc 2oox? Will the stock electrical system handle a plug in 700,000 candlepower spotlight? Any help will be appreciated. I do not want to try to hook it up without any guidance and possibly cause damage. Thanks

.... how many watts is the lightbulb rated for - this is a different rating than candle power which is a measure of brightness - if its near 55 - 60 watts than your fine - if its 100 watts than you'll have troubles with it being too dim. Another thing to remember is that alot of those lights really need a battery in its system to help draw energy.

How many watts is a 700,000 candlepower spot. If it is less than the highbeam wattage of the trike, then you could power it with the headlight off. The honda trike stators were pretty closely matched to the load requirements, so adding any significant load will toast the stator. There are higher power stators available, one source I know of is www.rickystator.com

I will try to wire the light while the headlight is off. If i fry the stator i will have to get a high output one. Thanks a lot for the help. Ant
