Well I was trikeless for awhile, and really didn't like it, so I went looking around for another 250R air cooled, found this one original asking price was 600 dollars, I ended up getting it for 200 bucks. Strangely enough at 200 I'm not sure it's a good deal LOL... Anyways after looking at it once, and being in the Christmas spirit, I thought I had to rescue this fooler and bring it back to it's original shape, so here is the first pic and yes the plan is to return it back to a 3 wheeler. The engine starts up right away, the story was it was rebuilt last year, swingarm bearings good, axle is straight, exhaust heat shields are there, tank is super clean and rear fender with seat pan and seat in pretty good shape except for the color... Working on picking up a frame and front end, the project should be fun - looking forward to it.

Hello from Langley! I posted that over on the ebay forum. Head over to bent bike if you want to do a 200X front end conversion, he's got a set of forks and triples. I was in there before christmas, Brian has it marked as a Big Red
You also might want to PM Manbearpig as he posted this
if someone from here buys this and wishes to convert back to 3 wheels, i have an 81 and 82 (your choice) frame to donate. just pay shipping. 1st gen R's are my one true love and seeing this really makes me wanna gag

Picked up a parts trike with title for the project last night just outside of Seattle Wash for another 200 bucks. A roller with two engines, plastics, seat and a DG pipe with silencer - I'm pretty excited with the purchase. Coming across the US / Canada border no questions asked - nice :)

is the neck still there? thats a horrible thing to do to an air cooled :( hack that silly front end off and put it back to an odd number of wheels like honda had intended :D
