I just noticed your tail light, it looks like an early seventies XL tail light maybe?
Anyway it's real cool looking, I've got one from a Suzuki Intruder on mine that I rigged up, here it is.........

Looks like a nice clean 86, enjoy it man! I love my sx. Gazoo, those are bearclaw tires, but I have a set of the Dick Cepek Spider Tracs you are refering too,,,, good tires!

not bad. them tires will sure grab. get yourself a hold of a 200x front end and get you some good stoping power up front. it would look killer.

good eye. It was missing the light when i got it and a new replacment is 100$ on ebay. Happen to find a light off of my old 75 xl 70 that was my first bike. Little cutting and welding and it almoust looks factory. And a licence plate holder to boot!

If you want to improve the handling of your machine you need not trade the entire front end off..

I simply changed the front wheel rim with that of a 1987 TRX250 front wheel (10x5), and a Bear Claw 23x7x10, and a wheel spacer to get the offset right..

Incredible change to the steering and handling..but not all the hassle of locating a donor 200x. Keep the stock front end..looks pretty badness too!

Do away with that stock knobby and it's side slipping..bring out the inner mud demon of your SX!

looks nice 59!!! i got mine right around the same time. i took doug's advice and got the kenda's out back. first ride was sunday and it was AWESOME!!!! i'm gonna hook up the front tire like doug as well. just saving up.
