I'd say it's a 200S. It's engine looks like a 200 or 185, but he says it's a 1985, and I don't think they made the 185s that long.

My bets is a 200s. Because of the rear toolbox. I'd say it's a 84

Looks like a 200s to me also (rear tool box).
mywifeknowseverything the 83 185s had the same front forks as the later 200s.

Its either a 1984 or 1985 200s. The size of cylnder on the 185s and the 200s is exactly the same. It was just bored out a little more.
The way to tell the 84 from the 85 model is the shifting pattern. The 84 used the traditional Honda all down shifting.
The 85 you actually shifted up if you wanted to go to a higher grear.
The 200s was also made in 86. It was like the other years but had black around the headlight (versus chrome) and a black grab bar.
The 185s was last made in 1983 and the only real difference between it and the 200s is that the 200s has different rear fenders and graphics, plus a bigger motor.
Thats all I know but see how the shifting pattern is. My guess is that the trike is an 85 model.

I have to disagree. My neighbor has an 85 200s and it shifts down to get to the higher gears

It is defiantly a 200s. The 1983 185s was the one with front suspention but it had rear plastic that cliped on where the 200s only has the seat clip on (like the one in the pic.) The 185s didn't have a trunk where the 200s did. The gas tank is also different, the 185s has a more squarish tank where the 200s looks shorter, again like the one in the pic. The exhaust is also different on the 2 bikes. As for the year, there were very few differences between the 200s's. I would say it is an 84 only because of the throttal, the 84 has the older chrome looking throttal where the 85 and 86 have black ones but that is an easy part to change so who knows.
