I recently put the shock from a fourtrax 250 on my sx. It took me a while to make it work because i had to make some beer can shims for it. Now that i have it on, Im kinda worried about the angle it puts driveshaft at. I adjusted the shock to its lowest setting and its still a little high. What do you guys think, anyone have any experience with this?159296:wondering

I was a big SX fan but as my track progressed, I was bending rear ends left and right.
So, I bought other models. The lower mount could be lowered but if your shims are "beer cans" you may some assistance.
How much did the shock ad in terms of length??

I might add that these are finely crafted "beer can shims" made from only the highest quality American Budweiser Cans.

But seriously, It would have probably been alright without them. It was a tiny tiny bit of slack and that was the only thing i could think of short of getting some machined.
The shock added at, its highest setting, about an inch and a half. Im not really interested in moving the mounting bracket, just wanted to know if the driveshaft angle looked extreme to anyone.

i have a blaster shock in my sx. mine prolly has about the same angle at the boot, and it's been in there for about three years now with no problems.
