My rear disk brake rotor on my '83 200X has some buildup on it, as the previous owner had disabled it. What can I use to bring it back to life? Steel wool? Fine sand paper?

TIA,

You could try steel wool, but I'd have it properly turned.

Mobular,

I'm new to all of this. I know all about turning rotors on autos, but where does one go to get ATC rotors turned?

My suggestion is to chuck a wire wheel into the drill, and clean the major stuff up. After your first ride where you actually use the brakes, it will come home polished.

The wear limits on an ATV disk are a lot less than that of a car, and for that reason, I personally would not have them turned, but I only speak for me.
