I've been scouring this site and google the past several weeks for cr500 info. One fella on "the other" forum i believe, had a multi page rant about people calling these ATC500s when theyr in fact not OE honda bikes. So, Ill start this build thread as politically correct as possible haha.

I picked this up from another member last week, as far as I can tell its a stock 85 ATC frame with the cr5 cradle grafted in. I give props to whoever done the welding on it, as it seems to been done right-

This pipe came with the dirtbike, Im not even sure that its a cr5 pipe because it hits the side of the jug and wont sit straight in the exhaust flange. Anyone recognize it??? Its an fmf fatty

I made a flash trip to Wichita yesterday (6 hour round trip) for this bed full of parts. 2 85 frames, 2 swingers, axle, hubs, shocks, triples, seat, decent tank, factory expansion chamber, pegs, complete rear brake assy, box of bolts and misc pieces-

so, this thing will be on the back burner for a bit. I have a few other irons in the fire currently but jumped on the parts lot and frame while they were available.

Thanks. I need to come up with a pair of forks and a front axle to at least get it rollable. however, it takes up much less real estate as it sits lol
