Race trike needed!!

Help guys!! I am looking for a (85-86) 250R or a Tri-Z that is with in reasonable distance that runs and can be raced. I am not really concerned on the cosmetics cause I may change it but dont want anything that is a big pile either.

Thank you keister, Yes it will be in the calendar of 2014.. I love that Tri-z since I seen it up for sale.. But I had some very nice trikes offered to me, like the one in Tenn. that were very good deals. I will put it to you this way. Last night I didnt sleep much, had trikes on the mind!! Ill show you why I lost sleep, this is another one that was offered to me. LOL For a girl I'm a little crazy!! So more for MX but I like it all I am looking at doing some ice racing this winter!!! I just LOVE RACING!!!! It is a sad day when the wife is begging the old man for a trike for each type of race!! ONE for MX, One for draging, one for ice racing and one for the woods LOL I am working on my friend to get the Tri-z from Tenn. because he likes dragging and then I can ride it to HA HA HA

Yes I got 86 Tri-Z got some bugs but I worked on it last night Dave had me take out the carb clean it and took out the jets.. Did not have the jets it was call for it in the manual (thank god for the manual) It makes it look like I know what I doing.. There was a 320 main the manual call for a 470 so put a 470 in it.. And checked the spark plug 1st on was filed put new one in and it seemed to be running lean.. So today I am going to look at the electrical, C.D.I, Primary coil, Secondary coil.. Hoping after testing them I find out why she is falling on her face when I hit mid range..

You are very welcome! Like I said boots will make you feel sturdy and are protecting your ankle and calf. And just lift up the shifter a spline if you have any issues. And I shift by angling my thigh outwards rather than lifting my hole leg. And the kicker is so much easier then it was at TF. Your a taller girl so the Tri-Z should fit you well. Just bring a spare fuel pump rebuild kit to TF13.

You also seem to have some natural talent on trikes. I've seen a guy swing a leg on CR125 and he never rode one; PERIOD. That guy hit the hills and the track like Jeremy McGrath would have. We were all shocked, he just had it in him and it was crazy.

Nothing will be like kicking my 350X over with the decompression cable not hooked up like it was at TF... When it takes two legs and all my body wt. 2 kick it over anything is alot nicer to kick over.. Thanks for the compliments wish there was better pics. both pics were when I just got into the turn farther in the turn I had it side ways and bigger roosts.. I think that is the funnest is sliding around corner like that!!!

I am going to sleep on this, Main jet, larger numbers mean richer jetting, smaller numbers mean leaner jetting... Is this why it ran rich with the 320 main and with the 470 it is running lean maybe I need to put the 320 back in but with the 320 and the 470 it still is running the same so I am still in the same boat....it still is falling on it face at mid rag

A 1985 carb will have stamped on the zide 38w. A 1986 will have 1rx stamped somewhere on the carb body.
