ok guys well im completely rebuilding my 250r motor. complete with new 310 kit, 38mm carb, new reed block. atc5 pipe, new hot rods crank and rod, new bearings and seals, new clutch and a new left side case. last thing on my list is a stator. i was looking on ebay and there is a caltric for $65 that does not say the watts. there is a rmstator for $94 that says its a 200w and a ricky stator for $150 that is 200w. what do you guys recommend? has anyone used a clatric of rmstator?

I have a new 100w Ricky Stator that i used all summer and seemed to work well.
Got in on ebay for $125. Seems like a good unit.
BTW, sounds like a good build your working on...good luck and post some progress pics!

THE PEOPLE AT RMSTATOR ARE OUTSTANDING i have 2 of their stators and not a single problem,,,
I just finished my engine about a week ago put new OEM seals all around replaced left side case new crank by hot Rods crank new piston kit 68.00 mm new gasket kit all around new reeds and my total was about a grand or so but now I have an engine that can last 20 years if I take care of it properly

I have 2 seasons of riding on my Ricky Stator standard output stator (not to be confused with Rick's) and it has served me flawlessly.
IMHO, unless you plan on running extra lighting you really don't need the 200w stator.

If I recall correctly, I think I paid right around $125 for my standard stator direct from Ricky Stator.

i was really thinking of getting the ricky stator for 125$ but kasey says rmstator is good people and there 200w is $94 so it sounds like a deal to me. ricky stator is $150 for a 200w. i know i dont need it but hell might as well in this situation

That sucks... Did you place the order online or did you call directly and place your order??
I know quite a few people have trouble getting their stuff in a timely manner when placing orders through the website.
I know it was a year ago, but I did my order over the phone and I had everything in short order once they recieved my crank cases for boring.

dam dude that sucks now waiting for ESR I have done that many times with them. But on a good note you will be very happy when you get that ATC 5 pipe on and ride it. I owned one and rode at the dunes and it was a blast.
