Just picked this up today. It was from the original owner. It's been in storage since the late 80's. Won't take much to get her running. The Ohtsu H-Track's in excellent condition were definitely a bonus. All three rims even still have the Mitchell Wheel stickers.

WOW!!! I will never stop being excited seeing the Cagiva'a and Tigers pop up. Any details on the history of the bike? It looks like it was well cared for during its life.

Well, the guy that owned it said my Dad personally delivered it to him at a race track in NE OH the day of the race in '85. He jumped on it and took 2nd. My Dad would do anything to get these on the track.

That is a thing of beauty! Never seen one in person. I imagine a lot haven't. Without unleashing the "search" hounds on me, how about just a brief description of what goes into one of these? What is the base motor, frame, etc. Obviously most pieces are custom. just a few highlights would be awesome!

The motor, main frame and forks are from a '84 Cagiva WMX 250 (even though it's only 190cc). Tricky Dick's made the front hub, front axle, triples, swingarm, bearing carrier and tailsection. The plastic is from Maier back when they'd match Cagiva orange. Seat was made by Hi-Flite.

Bet some Ohio guys are bummed out knowing this was so close to home; and never knew it was there for the collecting. You might consider bringing some of the collection back to PineLake in July...display of course. Well unless you wanna spin some laps, it would please the crowd to see such History in person.

I hate to admit it, but that's a sexy machine. Function over form and very simplistic. It doesn't hardly get any sweeter. Congrats. Compared to a Tiger, a real pain to get parts for. In seeing these trikes in pictures, it's hard to imagine how much work went into the design to pull everything together to make it look like the machine was designed totally from scratch and not from the fact that parts from an existing machine was used with "kitted" (for lack of a better term) parts. I sure hope you'll post up some vids of this trike running and a vid of the trike moving at speed. What a really neat machine.

I was thinking the same thing Tri-Z... I'd have traded my wife's minivan (and left her in the cold) to get that thing!... Wait... "Yes dear, I am getting the garbage ready to go now"... guys, I gotta go!

Thanks Vealmonkey! My Dad would spend many hours on not just the Cagiva but any of the conversions. I remember spending many late nights at the shop with him.

I hope to get a 200 running soon along with the 125. They all need carb and brake rebuilds. I'll definitely take some video when I do get one running.

I just got very lucky on this one.

I'd love to get one to Trikefest. Maybe even take a spin down the drag stip.

Congratulations, that is a super find for sure. Change the oil and clean the carb, slap on a new chain, whire wheel the disks and it's race ready. Oh yea, might check the air in the tires :)

Sure would be cool to locate an old Rodney Gentry racer he ran in the 200cc class. (He raced it successfully until Honda signed him to a contract) The trike would be in FL, and number 17 if it still existed. Good luck ; )'

There was also a Cagiva deal in upstate NY whose son Chris Wager raced a bike number 111. It was damn fast, and one day he wrecked it and snapped the front fender. His dad got another on it, we ended up fixing it and using it on my CR60 dirtbike conversion since it matched the factory orange of the gas tank of my Honda. People in the pits used to run over to see if my little Honda was a Cagiva, then noticed not.

Still got the CR and the Cagiva front fender on the bike to this day.
