Looks sweet man, now you got TONS of ground clearance!

It really does sit nice, I sat on it a couple of weeks ago and the only thing I could think of was it was alittle high in the front but I gave Randy a parts 110 so he now has a spare frame to play with for a rear suspension idea. lol

I hate to be the one guy that dislikes something. I gotta say though. I don't like it. To me it's too chopper-ish. Maybe too sporty-ish. I think as far as suspending the smaller trikes. I like the 185s/200s front end better.

I however did my conversion and never got to ride it before my frame cracked in half.

Were you doing the work in a storage unit? Did that with a car up here in NY, people running the place did NOT approve.

I've been looking to do this on my 185, was it a direct swap or did you have to do custom fab work? Maybe you could do a write up....

Nope. I just rolled it out of the unit for a pic.

I was going to do the 185s front and had all the stuff on my work bench and ya know ,I'm really
glad I went the extra mile on this change over...Its never been done ! by doing this I found all
the X's ,R's, Sx. all had one thing in common and that's the STEM base.......What a deal, & the parts
are really available cheep! To lose the chopper-ish look you can use the 1st gen R ,big tire, keep the forks back close
to the engine head. your way is a bolt in/cool with a big tire!! the way it is right now isn't short-ish Hahaha............Its all fun to build
a little project different than the run of the mill.................Ol Deuce

Thanks Brandon :Bounce:D I did figure out how to swing the rear on all these stamped ATC's can you imagine having a sprung 110 or 125:lol::lol:
It's only time and might have that project done.......don't forget to save me your 125m;):D ..............Ol Deuce

Now that's a project I could see! Suspended but also reinforcement for the motor mount area that is prone to splitting by the seat release.

Are you finding that bumps and obstacles are jerking the front end around from the smaller size tire?

donwon

do you have limited stearing even with the krimped tank ends and did you sleeve the 110 stem to fit the 200x stem base or weld on the 200x fork stem tube

The steering is some what limited but so far hasn't hindered......I machined a adapter and it uses the 110 stem and worked out well

IT STEERS BETTER/EASERY WITH THE SMALLER NARROW TIRE like the 200x

The steering is some what limited but so far hasn't hindered......I machined a adapter and it uses the 110 stem and worked out well i take it you welded on steering stops then to prevent any tank damage. a far as the adapter that serves as a bushing did you weld it to the stem or just clamp every thing together in the base. buy the way looks really good and tough, trying to get mine done also just need a blue 200x front fender and headlight.

I'm wanting to do this to my 200e, could you make me something that would allow a 200x or similar front on it? I'm desperate! I'd kill to be able to use a front max or similar tire and have a front end that more forgiving over bumps and a little lighter... Feel free to text/call 276-780-1828
