Need to fix sight glass

Have 2 good frong master cylinders for tri-z's. Both have leaking sight glasses. Anybody ever have any luck patching them? Will JB weld hold up to the brake fluid? If not JB then what to use?

hey whiteman, i asked about this too and got no answer on replacement. my 85 R needs a new glass. I've about decided to have the hole welded up or perhaps a press-in aluminum plug.

I replaced one of mine on my 87 200X last year. Now, I don't even waste my time using 15 year old Master Cylinders. I'm running a CBR900f4i on my X now. The benefits are the simple fact that its new and plastic (no paint damage due to brake fluid).

Me and my friend fixed his 350x with some j&b weld, just make sure all the surfaces are clean of brake fluid, the fluid wont let it dry or bond....then we just filled over the sight glass....that was a few months ago and its still holding up perfect to this day
