My thumb always ends up sore after riding, but I can use a twist throttle for hours and have no issues at all. So,has anyone ever done this? I have seen several kits to do this, but I have not seen any reviews or any of them installed. Is there anything else that I should know about doing the conversion?
Thanks in advance!

on my 125 the previous owner had just cut down the original cable housing (on the carb end) and just stuck a twisty on it. nothing fancy and nowhere near as nice as a kit would be i'd think, but it does work. just sucks because now i need to get a new cable for the thumby i picked up.

Would you be willing to sell your twist throttle and cable as one unit?

nope sorry, my buddy is getting it for a project he's working on. the one i have is just a plain ol' no name cheapy from back in the day anyway. should be cheap and easy to find one, just not exactly sure how much housing to cut off since i'm not sure about the original length and what kind of twisty you might get. IMO a kit would be a better choice overall, but it's your machine. :beer
