I took the 110 out this weekend and it ran great until it was WOT, it started to bog, if I down shifted, it picked up?

Thoughts? Huge difference in handling on the dirt from the street, and it goes well.

I have a aftermarket carb on it. where should I tinker?

sounds like its getting flooded at full throttle. With the after market carb has it ever run right? was it just in storage and now has the issue? or has this problem started with the carb?

Id check the air filter...

I thinking I might be running to lean at the higher rpms. I'd have a look at the plug color, if it's sooty black, it's probably to rich. A new plug probably wouldn't hurt either.

A lean main will let it scream... for a little while. If it was running great before and then suddenly started breaking up at the top I'd drain the bowl in case water has accumulated in the bottom as it tends to do.

If you have to work the throttle to get the rpms up, it could be your mixing screws not set right.

Not if it is way lean, my 110 was running pretty similar to his (except even worse), because I had no air box making it run way lean.

The bike never ran well before. Where should I start with the idle mixture screw?

previously, the bike smoked and I swapped the top end. I changed the throttle cable to one that worked from another 110, the one that was on it was way too long.

I just put the mixture at 2 1/2 turns out. It has an air box, no lid, with a uni filter.

First thing I would do, is find an air box cover... Second, figure out what carb you have and if it is anything near what you need for the motor....

I have tried to find the cover, people want way too much money for those.

The carb is an ebay special, as in it was made for a 110. Identical to the stock carb, it just worked. :)

anyone got a 110 air box cover? its an 1984. Needs to be cheap.

Just wrap the top with duct tape or something. Doesn't have to be pretty - just see if it helps.

I just read in the manual that you should start at 1.5 turns out, not 2.5. gonna go back to the basics :)

I will wrap the top with duct tape too.
