ive seen in the tri z interchanable parts thred that you can use a cylinder off an 85 yz 250. has anybody done this? all the ones i see on ebay have a powervalve setup on them. im trying to get my motor back together and the cylinder is holding me up. I do have 2 cylinders but both are at max bore and will have to be resleeved. any help would be appreciated eric

I did the 83 yz cylinder , Ronnie Hopkins ported it, that trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro was NASTY fast!!

No prob..I was going to suggest not to do it and just spend the money on a re sleeve but at least wanted to show you what was involved.

Yeah, riding where we do it is common to end up in rain and water puddles... Pod filter isn't the best idea IMHO. That whole deal with the angled intake would be a bit of a trick to rig up I think.
