85-86 thumb throttle? 250r

Bought a 85r that came with a twist might switch to a thumb. I no the carbs are different on the 85-86 models. Are the cables the same when you want to switch back to the thumb....

I'm pretty sure it take a different cable for thumb vs. twist.

yes its a way different I use he twist for dunes and the thumb for track

different cable for 85 and 86-89 carb. If you have a pwk carb, you can use the 85 atc cable. Question is, what carb is on it?
