While looking for 250r's, I came across this 85 tecate. I know parts are hard to find. What should I look for? I want to make sure I dont have to find parts that cant be found. Any thing known for being problem parts? What are the hardest parts to find?

He is asking $900. Says it runs great. Needs Brake work. Whatever that means, but the calipers might need a rebuild.

id likem to know what tank that is. as far as parts, the oe flywheels are crap. you can still get brake pads, and there are some master cylinder rebuild kits on ebay right now. it looks pretty sound from the pics. the rear shock usually takes a crap. im always having issues with my shock. everyone likes to run 300ex rear shocks, but i like to keep mine oe. if i had the money right now i would have works build me one. other than that, lots of people on the forums usually have parts they would be willing to give up if you needed them.

It's probably either a Clarke tank or he has a tank cover over the original tank.

He also has the front fender on backwards. Derrr...
