If everything is in place and works a decent one will sell for over $1,000. If is rough and parts are missing I wouldn't buy it at any price. Keep in mind "great shape" today dosen't mean it won't need a rebuild tomorrow.

Not the greatest photo for seeing details, but at a glance it looks like the frame has been painted so someone likely had it all apart. Looks like the motor was also painted (flat black?) Are the nuts and bolts painted as well? (That always scares me off) and the rear rims are not from an 85-1/2. I paid $1,200 for mine and it was in nicer condition than this appears to be. If it runs strong and the forks aren't bent it may be worth $1,000, but take a good look at the frame (steering head area). That the forks are straight and not rusted. Look close at the kick start/clutch cover for damage as well as in front of the drive sprocket. Check the air-boot for cracks. Look at the foot pegs for damage or repairs. Check the swing-arm for cracks and lift it by the grab bar and try to see if any of the bushings are loose. Make sure the brakes work and hold pressure. If he claims the engine is recently rebuilt take a compression tester with you and check it if you can. If any of the above is not checking out good I’d start at the $1,000 mark and work him down with each problem you find. It’s amazing how fast prices go down when you point out flaws in someone’s “mint” vehicle.

^^^very much agree^^^

I noticed the flat black engine as well... That's a classic move by an unscrupulous seller trying to pretty something up quick to flip it fast.

And and really??! Trailpros on a friggen Tri-Z??!!! Do people have no shame??!!!

Your money, your decision. I haven't heard of many that run well selling for less than $800, but expect to put at least that much more into it if you want peace of mind when you get a few miles from home. I hope its a good deal for you.

Keep looking, you may find a gem for under $1,500 someday.
