Hey guys,
I'm going to be picking up an atc 70 in a couple weeks, The trikes in really nice shape but the owner said the motor smokes a little on start up. I was dinking around and came across the hondaat70 site. Its about the same price to put in a new motor compared to rebuilding the stocker. I was wondering would the pirahana 140 fit without any really big mods? Or am I going to have to put a piranaha 125 in it? Thanks in advance guys!

My 125 Lifan fits ok, rubs the front fender a tiny bit... I would imagine the 140 rubs a good bit. My 125 hauls my fat butt around with no problems whatsoever.

My son has a piranha 125 in his 70. A 140 will not fit unless you stretch the frame. The 125 hauls pretty good. We had to trim the frame just a touch and I cut the front fender because it rubbed. Other than that it bolts right in.

We have a Piranha 140 in our 70, and it fit without stretching the frame. Just had to remove the front fender.

If your going to put a 140 in it, I would strecth the frame 2". It sure makes it a lot easier & funner to ride. You can also get offset handlebar risers, and extended footpegs- " 2 inches farther forward then stock & alittle lower ".
I put the Piranha 150 E-start in one of my 70's, The Happy Button is very nice.

My lifan 140 is a real tight fit in my 70... Front fender is going to have to be custom cut, carb clearance is going to be needed to clear the tank, ad to do a little grinding just to get the motor hung in the frame...

Hmm not to bad of work to fit the motor in it. I don't want to do any frame extending. I want to keep it the frame stock. Attempt to keep it as stock as possible.

a pirahna 140 will fit into the stock chassis if you trim the back side of the front fender.

here is mine with a yx150, which should be around the same size. no frame stretch but the carb was a difficult fit (pwk28 flatslide)

It can be tricky. I use both hands its almost like kicking over 350x you got to find the right. Stoke. If you don't it will let you know.

you could probably turn the fender around and get it to fit without cutting it.
