I had a set of moose brand brake shoes on the rear of my sx and got maybe half a season out of them. They are now shot. Is there any brand that lasts longer? Honestly got maybe 4 fifty mile rides out of them.

I had a set of oem honda pads on my big red and they lasted well over a year with heavy use stopping from high speeds only around 40 bucks if i remember right.

I've had short life shoes and then discovered the kids would ride with
foot pressure on the brake pedal.

A few shoes separated from the linings from too much water as well.

I dont ride with my foot on the petal but there are some extreme hills but i use my front brake with it as well...and since its a 200x front i got discs. I will have to look in to the oem ones

x2 on oem.

If you do swamp it, there may be a drain plug in the brake drum to let water Out.

im pretty sure I have a set of EBC pads on the front and rear of my 250R. they stop amazing. Couldnt tell you the brand I have run on my 250sx's but they are always random ebay brands and have worked just fine considering you get a set of front and rears for like 25$ shipped.

Well the front pads (for the disc brake) have tons of life left. Those are oem. It seems either oem or ebc is the way to go for the rear drum brakes. I assume just order the oem ones from service honda or can you find them online?

i run ebc's with decent results also. be sure to check that your brake arm returns as it should, on my sx the cable is a little sticky and the brake tends to hang up. just slightly so you don't really notice when riding, but enough to wear the pads prematurely.

Just curious what does EBC stand for or is that the brand? I have obviously never heard of them.

Used EBC's on the 350X, thru the mountains of PA. Had to replace them after two years of hard riding. This last set has lasted longer. Bikerchickltd on EBAY had them cheap.
