Got my klt 250 going runs perfect but its hard to get it into neutral when running its one down rest up. When running its hard to shift up. and when u shift down it feels like it keeps shifting into another gear. It sat for a long time, clutch seems good. Could it be a bad shift drum. Any help would be great.

You could have any number of issues. I am not familiar with your motor but:
Take the cover off where the gearshift linkage is and place the machine on a stand.
Spin the tire while you shift up and down through ALL the gears.
You may have a very simple shifting issue. Broken springs/bolts/collars etc can all cause this as well as the shifting mechanism itself.
I RARELY find bad gears drums or forks. It's usually a very simple issue...............

Try changing the oil first .
