Good question.
I just put some 'smaller' tires on my sx and it is more radical
of an angle even tho the tires have the same tire size numbers.

I wanted a flatter profile so it wasn't so tippy.
The stock tires on the sx are more rounded so they seem taller.

It's all about how far off the ground the center of the hubs are
as far as I can tell with weight on the seat.

They also squash down and flatten out when you sit on them.

Let me go measure a few different trikes.
Odd that u joint replacement is not a common topic.
Especially with the small, flat lawnmower looking tires some people use
for flat track sliding type riding.

Ok, the more I think about this, the more I need to go look and measure,
since I just read what I wrote and none of it makes sense.

Kinda also seems like it depends on how high the shock is set.
Unloaded, the sx's seem topped out on the suspension
and the br's are down a little.

your right im confused... i was thinking about doing a lift kit as the guy did with a big red to get more clearance . but just realized it would make the driveshaft angle worse... hehe guess thats out... you would think being a sporty big red it woulda had the same or more ground clearance instead of less...
