Alright, after spending the day getting the axle nuts out, and the threaded sleeve off, I am left with the brake hub. I've done this 50 times before, but this one just WILL NOT BUDGE! I guess it is rusted on good. I've heated it red hot, used lots of pen oil, smacked it with a hammer to free the rust, I tried to rig up a puller with steel pegs, chain, and a bottle jack, it just will not budge. I don't want to damage my rotor... and there is no way for me to get the rotor off while it is attached to the axle. I've also been beating on the axle with a sledge and a 6x6, no dice.
I'm just wondering if anyone has a trick, or a way they rigged up a puller to pull it off?
Any help is appreciated.
Jason.

I've used an old hub installed on the axle and a short piece of heavy wall pipe slipped over the hub and a 5lb sledge to beat the axle out . heat at the same time . The wood is too much coushion , it needs a hard metal to metal smack at the end of the axle to get it free .

I was looking all over for a piece with 1" i.d to slip over the splines so i could hit that instead, but i couldn't find one. If I had an old hub I would use that, All I have are 200x hubs, and they are different splines.

You just dont want to beat on the axle itself thats why I use an old hub and I use a piece of 1 1/2" thick wall pipe , a 1" pipe will bend real easy IMO

My success was always with an air hammer(directly on the hub),the vibration and metal to metal contact seems to pay off...and ive had some tough ones!! Good luck man !!! patience is a virtue.

Rust bomb for a soak. X2 on the air hammer. They can be real nasty. I know you already know that. Sorry this ones so bad...

When I first had to change my rear axle bearings it took over 2 hours of heat & beat plus pb blaster. it finally let loose.

That is starting to sound like the best option.
