hey guys im runninng ann 83 200x and was thinkin about changing my back tyres from the factory ballon 22/11/8 tyres.i do alot of trail riding so is it better or easier to go smaller dia tyres for my existing rims or try and get 9" rims as they seem more common size, also i may replace my front tyre so is there any makes to stay away from and any good makes.cheers

Depending on the types of trails you ride on, staying with the Balloon Tires might be the best bet. Does your machine not handle well on the current tires on your trails?

Mine was really bouncy on trails by me. I am running 20 gbc shredders (similar to holeshots) and they do great

i run 20s on all my sport trikes!!! good ground clearance and less tipsy. as for a front i love my kenda front max on my R. too bad they dont make it to fit my Z front wheel though.

6ply itp gncc. you wont even plug again. they grip somthing good. 21" and 20" rear. look to spend about 100 a tire min.

yea shes seems a bit tipsy for me.i have noticed 18" tyres are a popular size on a 9" rim but that seems too small i think.

What size tires do 83-84 250rs have? I want those smaller tires on my 83 200x anyone know what would give me that look?

I was told before that the 83-84 250rs are the ones with the 9 inch rims.

i find 18s on trails dont offer enough ground clearance and the disk/sprocket catch.

yea i did wonder about the clearance if i ran 18s.looks like il bide my time and invest in 9" rims and go for 21s or something close to that.cheers for al the info people.

i ran 18" holeshots on 8" stock rims... 20" might be a little better but i liked the 18's my self... i rode mud/water/gravel ext. and never really had any issues.

I don't own an x but just a regular 83 200 and its running Kenda scorpion knobby on front, 25x12-9 and holeshots rear 25x13-9. Probable too large for the hp if the trike. But ok trying to wear them out as fast as I can so I can put new ones on. Trying to avoid dry rot by burning them off first. Lol
