I have an 83 185s that i would like to put the rear hubs off my 85 250es on. Can anyone tell me if they will swap. The bikes are thirty minutes away and I wont be over there for a couple days.

i can say not a chance, the machines are so far apart the 185 sports a solid chain driven axle with traditional hubs but the 250es has the outer axle tube seals as part of the hubs so your answer is not a chance.

buy a pair of 400ex hubs. the spline is the same and they also offset your wheels a bit. You aso get a more popular 4x110 bolt pattern. i just bought a brand new set on ebay for $110 shipped to my door. you can get them cheaper but i didnt want to risk it on a used set for my build

So the 400EX hubs fit most of these 185/200cc trikes then? I was thinking this for my 200m.

Thanks I didn't think they would fit but it would have been great if they did. And thanks for the 400ex tip I am looking to get the 4/110 bolt pattern because I have some nice mudders on my 250es that I want on my 185s because the 250es will be out of commission for a while. Is the 400ex the only other hub or are there any others and what is the most abundant that will fit.

TRX 400ex, 450R, 300ex, 250x, etc = all the same hub.
$30-$50 a pair shipped on eBay
Be sure you get them with studs. Buying and installing studs just adds cost and time and they're too cheap and plentiful to deal with that crap.
Lug nuts are a nice bonus, too.

And all these will fit the 185/200 machines? Or are there some these won't fit??..just to be clear.

400ex/450R etc hubs bolt on the 70/90/110/125/185/200 families. I had a pair on my 84 200X. Fit 250 Odyssey, too.
Do not bolt on 85/86 250R, 350X and 2nd gen 200X.
I don't know squat about the shafties - 250ES, SX, etc but assume no way they'll fit as stated above.
