just got an 81 250r........

traded an 82 110 that needs a top end job for it. needs a lot of work, but i'm up for the project. I was wondering what(if any) parts I can use from a newer 250r. Mainly I just would like to use newer plastics. I've noticed that parts for the newer bikes are a lot easier to find. tell me what I can't do. thanx

by the way, I'm looking for a decent deal on some front shocks, plastics, a seat, handlebars, and a pipe and silencer if anyone has something they need to get rid of

also, i know my way around 4strokes pretty good, but kinda new to 2strokes. what's some good stuff I can do to hop it up some without spending a bunch more money. since i've got it torn down to rebuild the top and bottom end. thanks again

for a piston check out this guy on ebay byeitup he will sell off ebay. i ust got a 85 piston kit gaskets + shipping 32.50. its a art piston. he also has wiesco, but i advise you to not use a wiesco in your air cooled motor. parts from a newer 250r wheels front end patrs, cable, lights, brakes from 83/84 (front) motor 83/84. tank 200x. you can make the rear fenders work. cheap hot rod?????? no such thing. polish the ex port, smooth out the intake port, no polish here. pipe. more money reeds, cage, carbs, plug wire & coil
