been alot of stuff going on with the 125 last couple months (rolled a couple times, brakes locked up and no brakes for a bit (got the brakes fixed now though) and then recently the twist throttle stuck wide open, caught some decent air and crashed (it was riderless at the time thankfully). it took off tearing up the creek bank and caught air off a root and slammed straight back down into the bottom of the creek bed. motor was over revved when the tires hit the ground and it chunked one of the gears when it landed from the shock load i'm figuring. i was hoping it was just a blown clutch or something like that, but it was a gear. pulled bits of metal shards and one full tooth out of the case las'night when i took the clutch cover off it.

the main plan is to get the original motor fixed, but i just wanted to see what other options i might have incase it's to much to get fixed. first thought was a 160cc LiFan, but those are made for 70 sized frames, or would it work on the 125 frame with some spacers to make up the differance in frame size?

Jon Boy I have a 110 that has spark but I believe it needs to be timed, as it just won't run, but tries and the carb is a clean working carb off another bike. Make me a offer and we can figure out a way to ship it to you. It is a four speed with all gears going down. It will drop right in I just don't have time to work on it right now have way too many other projects at the moment.

cool, thanks for the offer muthey, but not exactly sure what i'm going to do just yet. will keep you in mind though. :beer

mine runs, just won't move when in gear. just wondering if the stator side cover/gears would swap to give me E-start for a 110 motor? then there's a TRX125 also which would give me reverse instead of low range.

sidenote: got both side covers off. planning on splitting the case sometime in the next few days. curious to see what it looks like in there.

Good lord! Sounds like my kind of riding, when things get out of hand and whole 3wheelers come home in grocery sacks.

Sorry for the loss of a good machine though even if only temperary. I looked on a microfiche website. Doesn't look like the transmission parts numbers match up with a 110, at least not all of them. If it was mine I would take it apart like you said and see what is really broke. If it's just a couple gears you could prolly find them on ebay or hear.
