For $400 i would buy it. I saw that one on CL, if it was closer i would have hauled it home already! You could rebuild the carb and resell it for $6-800 once its running.

Now quick burn the gloves and mask, and get to work cleaning that fuel system! Also drain the engine and final drive oils, flush and replace. Check, clean and oil your air filter. Adjust your brake cables, even your tire pressures and enjoy !

Wow that was a steal! I paid $300 for mine with no tank, half a seat, & trashed rear fenders. 3 times as much put into just to have a nice rider (brakes, cables, levers, and on and on). Take care of her and she'll take of you;)

started second kick! runs like a honda! i noticed the handlebars arent straight with the tire..is there an easy way to adjust this back, or is it tweaked?

well around these parts you dont have time to go look at it and go home and start a thread and go back later and have the price slashed in half and it was still their... great job... wish i was as lucky as you.....hehe

what are you guys thoughts on getting all new maier plastic for it? i know its not like oem but it makes it look alot nicer then my scratched old stuff. i did that to my 250r and it looks nice..they also make a plastic tank for the big red. is that a dumb idea?

Plastic tanks work great, but look crappy on a Big Red, in my opinion. Is the tank really rusty inside? You could coat it...

no its bad at all and is in really good shape but maier plastics wont match the oem tank color

another question for you guys, the headlight works on it, but when i rev the motor up the light dims..the battery is dead, would that make the light not have all its power?

I will make it real easy on ya. Sell me the rear plastics and buy maier. I would buy the tank as well if the price is right. Let me know if you want to sell them. Pm me...I should have never sold my good big red tank or the spare rear fenders.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing , i owuldnt sale the stock fenders and tank, that aftermarket plastic isnt usually near as flexible or durable as the old oem.

TravEX

Drain with the 10mm bolt on bottom left, fill with gear oil to 17mm cap opening at back of diff.
