honda 250sx with a big red hitch

picked up a nice honda 250sx . put a 250es hitch on it but it angles down towards the groung and is only about 4 inchs off the ground without anyone on it ?? is it because of the smaller 8 " tires ? anyone got a 250sx honda hitch 4 sale ? or idea ?:wondering

As far as i know they are the same hitch. Weather or not there is someone on it wouldn't matter with ground clearance considering it is mounted to the rear axle.

On a previously owned BigRed I had I needed more height for moving boat trailer around the yard so I flipped the hitch over. over.
As I recall I had to egg out (oblong the mounting holes) on 2 of the holes in order to get lined up.

Is it honda or aftermkt?

I swap hitches between an sx and br and never noticed a difference.

Line up of the 4 bolts can be a pain and if it's never had a hitch, the threads
are usually packed with mud/rust.

Reminds me, I gotta bet some new bolts. Maybe 10mm x 1.25?

I flipped my hitch on my Big Red. As stated above, I had to cut out some the hitch in order to mount it back up, but totally worth it.

no i tried flipping it but would hafts grind the sides ou cuz its wider at the top than the bottom.. i had a 250sx with the honda hitch and it looked identical to the big red hitch but it isnt....
