would that work an atc 250r-500r conversion but with a husky motor?

Excuse my brethren. It will most definitely not blt right in. My guess there will be extensive mods needed to the frame. I do not believe that anyone has done it before.

When posting a question like this, it is best if you have already done some of the leg work and research. Good luck and post a build thread if you try and do it.

William, they are messing with you. To answer your question I would imagine you would need some serious frame modifications to try and do what you want. You need to go out and research the internet to see if its already been done. If not, you are blazing new trails and I wish you the best of luck. In my opinion just get a 250r motor and build the crap out if. Tons of information on that and lots of people here that can help.

Best of luck!

Where's the rest of the Husky? Seems a crying shame to tear apart something as rare as a vintage husky. Gonna make me cry! I'd kill for a husky 500 to restore!

First, I would never defile the great Husqvarna by disguising it as a Honda.... I have two 83 Husky 500's (air cooled projects) and recently parted with an 86 400 (water cooled rider) the engines are huge in comparison to the Honda, as well as being right side drive... you would accomplish two things, you would ruin your 250R frame and you would waste a classic Husky engine (or maybe even destroy a rare set of cases trying to modify them), powerwise I would expect the Husky to be the torque master of the two and the Honda being quicker off the line
