hey guys just wondering how you rebuild the 82 200e front forks. mine still move up and down so they aint froze but they leak. its not oil coming out its a grey sludge on the fork it self. So how do you rebuild these? do you have to take off the whole front end to do it? and are parts avial to rebuild them. thanks everyone

I know they are rebuildable, and the parts available. See if you can find a manual to help you out. A 185s/200s fork is very much similar.

i found a manual about how to do it. it didnt say what oil or how much though. i cant seem to find any parts for these shocks either
Bikebandit.com has the parts. Forks don't have oil. I don't think you have to take the forks off. Basically forks are crappy springs and some plastic bushings. Bolts on bottom of tubes and and on the sides and top. Springs can get "stuck" and you might have to yank on them.

inside these forks there is a spring, damper cylinder, and 2 plastic bushings. i installed a set of the bushings once and got them from honda. it didnt help mine at all as i believe the damper and spring were also shot. the 185/200s front end will go on and its a hydrolic fork, it may be cheaper to find this working than to try and rebuild. and there is no oil in it, the only oil will be inside the sealed damper cylinder and you cant change it.
