4-500 all day cleaned up. That little fella looks real clean. That one appears nicer than most you will see for 2-300.00 You better get that one fast for that price!! Pull start part are available and at least it has one with it even though it needs repair. If it did not one may run you 80-120.00 bucks these days. Yeah at 150$ that is a better deal than 4 bucks a gallon for gas..The pull start unit alone is worth the 150$.
Leave work now and go buy it..LOL

That thing looks like it was parked the day after the pull rope broke. Great find.

Well I tell ya, I about had a cow to see an ORIGINAL 70. Besides from brush scrapes on the fenders, this is in great shape! I offered more than he said he was offered over his CL ad. He said his best offer was 120. I paid 150 for this little gem. It has a perfect original seat and all the right decals. Even has good tires! All I need to do is reinstall the pull rope. WHAT A DEAL!!!! Now to explain it to the wife. The easy part was the trike its self!

Well she didn't have too big of a hissy fit. Told her it was going to be for sale. Hmmmmmm. No little ones to ride it but it sure is cute. I will get the pull starter put back together and see how it rides. My knees hit the bars. LOL I just think of the guy on laugh-in that rode the tricycle.

Fix it up and ride it, that's what we are doing.

Wasn't that Artie Johnson that rode that bike?

I went out to decode the vin. It is an 85, last year for production if Im not mistaken. It also had the 1985 tag on the side of the trike. That makes it "RARE" like all the ads say? Anyway I need a recoil spring and dogs with springs. That is all that is missing from the recoil. I need to dump the old fuel out and change oil just to freshen things up before I run it. I dont know how long that fuel has been in there. The seller said last fall he was running it around the yard. Long time for fuel to sit. The inside of the tank looks nice and clean as well. Seems to have very good compression. May need a plug wire. the insulator at the plug is missing part of it. So far, very pleased with the trike.

Rare? No... of the 6 70's I have had, 5 of them were '85's, but you scored big time on a nice one! Put some taller bars on it and run it... if you do, you'll never sell it.

I was kidding on the rare comment. Seems everone on cl seems to ad that the trike they are selling is "rare".

 yes, they're all "rare" I suppose... amazing what people are asking for crappy 3 wheelers around here, eh?

Some I see are priced over what they would have cost new. Yes they are "clasics", but not to the point that it justifies some prices that are asked. Like my daughter said once, "they have to have class to be a clasic, otherwise its just ick".
